Great wall!

Posted in 1APLP live!, December 16, 2011 by Un an pour la planète

Great Wall (China). Built and rebuilt during 20 centuries (until the 16th century) as a fortification to protect northern China's border, China's Great Wall is the biggest architectural structure ever built by men: more than 6,000 km long! The main part of the remaining walls were built during Ming Dynasty, in the 14th century. Astronauts are still discussing if it's visible or not from Earth orbit... please, if you go there to check, let us know!

Tribulations of 1APLP in Beijing!

Posted in 1APLP live!, December 13, 2011 by Un an pour la planète

Beijing (China). Literally "North capital", and that's why it's cold. But let's keep smiling as the worst is still to come!

Qingdao station

Posted in 1APLP live!, December 07, 2011 by Un an pour la planète

Qingdao station (China). 1.3 billion Chinese people... should we be surprised to wait in a crowded train station? Qingdao is a "medium size" city (3 million inhabitants) on Chinese coast. By the way, if your pronounciation of Qingdao is good (Tsingtao), it may remind you something!

Sailing to China!

Posted in 1APLP live!, December 02, 2011 by Un an pour la planète

Yellow Sea (between Japan and China). You know our addiction to ground and sea transportations and we guess that you won't be surprised to discover that we reached Chinese coast by boat for the second time!

Bet who will win!

Posted in 1APLP live!, November 27, 2011 by Un an pour la planète

Fukuoka (Japan). Religious at its origin 1500 years ago, military advantage later, and then entertainment for the plebian class, sumo is now Japan's national sport. And it's anything but fake!
